Piqua Catholic 18 – Minster 0

Piqua Catholic scored single touchdowns in the first, second and third periods to achieve victory.

Minster received and fumbled on the first play from scrimmage. It took Piqua four plays to cover the 36 yards for the touchdown.

Piqua returned a Minster punt to the Wildcat’s 26 late in the second quarter, then moved at length for the score and the 12-0 halftime lead.

In the third quarter Minster punted from its own five to the 35 and Piqua returned to the 13. Mike Maher sped around end for the score on 4th down.

Minster made its only substantial drive drive of the game in the final quarter, going from its own 20 to the Piqua 36. Here the Wildcat march was stopped by a pass interception.
