Coldwater 40 – Minster 13

Minster dropped a 40-13 non-league decision to Coldwater for the Wildcats’ second loss of the season as against a like number of victories.

Coldwater went ahead 6-0 in the first period on Jim Knapke’s 12-yard scoring jaunt. They added two more tallies in the second period with George Fisher passing to Stan Kramer for a touchdown and Knapke plowing over from the two for another TD.

With 10 seconds left in the half Doc Hogenkamp scored from the one-yard stripe for the Wildcats.

The winners added three touchdowns in the third period on runs by Fisher, Roman Schaefer and Lavern Bettinger. Final score for Minster was a pass play from Rolly Bernhold to Hogenkamp.
