Versailles 21 – Minster 12

Versailles spoiled Minster’s home opener with a fourth quarter rally for a 21-12 victory.

Versailles grabbed a 7-0 lead when a Urquhart to Brandt pass was good for a 20 yard touchdown.

Minster scored a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter. Hogenkamp hit paydirt with a 26-yard scamper and Huelsman intercepted an enemy heave and went 65 yards for the second score. Both extra point attempts failed.

In the all important final quarter Urquhart passed to Boerger for 30 yards and Wills returned an interception five yards for another touchdown. Both extra point tries were futile. The scoring was rounded out when Hogenkamp was tackled behind his own goal line for a safety.
