Minster 13 – Covington 13

Minster and Covington played to a 13-13 deadlock in a Tri-County League game. The Wildcats drew first blood when Dale Hogenkamp hit paydirt after a 17-yard run in the first period. A kick from placement by Burger added the point after touchdown and Minster took the lead 7-0.

Covington tied the score in the second quarter when Brinkmeyer ran 22 yards and Forsythe’s place kick was good. Brinkmeyer went six yards off tackle with four minutes remaining in the fourth period to give the home team a 13-7 lead.

The Wildcats received the Covington kickoff and scored in the final minute after a march down the field when Hogenkamp plunged over from the one, after Bernhold has previously passed to Tebbe for six yards.
