Minster Cruises Over Fort Recovery 33-0

MINSTER    Minster celebrated their home opener of the 2004 season Friday night with a 33-0 win over the Fort Recovery Indians in a dominating fashion.

 

Minster scored on five of their seven first half possessions, and stopped themselves on the other two with a fumble and an interception.  The Wildcats outgained Fort Recovery by a margin of 291 yards to 67 yards in the first half en route to a 26-0 halftime lead.  Ty Parks led the Minster offense with 206 yards on 19 carries for the half.  He would end the game with 210 yards on 20 carries.

 

After Minster scored an early third quarter touchdown to increase the lead to 33-0, the starters left the game and the reserves came in.  The Minster attack continued to pile up the yards, gaining a total of 434, 406 of them on the ground.  The Wildcat defense also held strong, giving up -3 yards in the second half.

 

Fort Recovery falls to 1-2 (0-2 MAC) with the loss.  The Wildcat record rises to 2-1 (1-1 MAC).  Next week Friday Minster travels to 2-1 Delphos St. Johns.
