MINSTER    The Anna Rockets and Minster Wildcats both came into this match-up with identical 5-1 records and with hopes of securing big computer points towards a possible playoff berth.  When the dust had settled, it was Anna who looked playoff ready as they dominated Minster 45-0.

Anna started out well with a 44-yard kickoff return by Kameron Knight.  Three plays later Wes Hunsucker threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Alex Fogt and the Rockets had the early 7-0 lead.

After the Wildcats went three and out it took Anna just four plays to score again, this time on a 31-yard touchdown run by Knight to increase the Rocket lead to 13 points.

Things briefly looked up for the Wildcats in the second quarter when Robert Gruber intercepted an Anna pass at their own 16-yard line.  However, two plays later Anna’s Monty Counts grabbed an interception of his own at the 13.  Two plays later Chance Guisinger ran for a 9-yard touchdown right through the heart of the Wildcat defense to expand their lead to 19-0.

Late in the second quarter Minster drove into Anna territory but failed to convert a fourth-down play at the Anna 43-yard line.  The Rockets took advantage, driving for a fourth touchdown on a Hunsucker 14-yard pass to Derek Billing to secure a 26-0 halftime lead.

While it was the Anna offense gaining the points, it was the Rocket defense that was dominating.  Minster was held to just 25 total yards, all on the ground, and one first down at half.

The third quarter was scoreless as Minster made two forays over midfield but could not get close to the end zone.

The fourth quarter was all Anna as they scored three touchdowns on a 25-yard pass from Hunsucker to Chad Zumberger, an Eddie Saunders 20-yard run and a Dexter Bensman 16-yard run for the final 45-0 tally.

Anna moves 6-1 (4-1 MAC) and should remain near the top of the region 20 computer rankings.  Next week they host the 2-5 New Bremen Cardinals.  Minster drops to 5-2 (3-2 in the MAC) and will probably fall two or three places in the computer rankings.  Next week they travel to Parkway for a critical game in their drive to the playoffs against the Panthers.
