Minster 20, Fort Loramie 13
MINSTER — The
Wildcats held on to defeat the Redskins in a battle between area powers at
Memorial Field. Minster’s Jacob Niemeyer
began the scoring with a 25-yard touchdown pass to Trent Roetgerman
with just over four minutes left in the first quarter. The roles were reversed on Minster’s next
scoring strike, as Roetgerman passed to Niemeyer for
a short touchdown just before halftime.
Collin Moore fired a 65-yard touchdown pass to
Damon Mescher in the third quarter, cutting Minster’s
lead to 13-7.
But shortly after, Minster’s Alex Schmitmeyer
capped a 65-yard drive with a four-yard touchdown plunge. Moore added a scoring pass to Drew Benanzer late in the game, but Fort Loramie
couldn’t overcome four turnovers on the night (two
interceptions, two fumbles).

interceptions for Minster. Niemeyer
chucked the football for 143 yards. Alex
Schmitmeyer added 92 rushing yards. Moore had 294 yards passing for the Redskins,
who held a 337-279 advantage in total yards.
