Did you ever have that feeling like there has got to be something I
(we) can do for others? Well, we (the Easter Buddies) sure have and at the
inspiration of a dear dear friend (Cindy, you know who you are!) we
followed through with it and started. That was Easter
2001. This is
Easter 2005. We have grown from putting together over 80 baskets
the first year, to three four years running now of putting together 104 baskets for
children from ages 0 through high school who have to be in our area's Children's
hospital over Easter. This labor of love has changed slightly over the
years in its practical implementation, but the heart behind it remains the
same. We are just a bunch of ladies who know we have been blessed by God
and want to be a blessing to others! |

All the stuff!
One of the fun parts of this project is
shopping. Hey what lady doesn't love to shop ;-) Each of us go
out during the weeks before assembly day and make our selections.
This is a picture of all our goodies just before we dive in. |

sometimes making that first choice is the hardest (and the funnest)! |

Interaction is really what it
is all about. Touching lives. The gift of giving! |

The haul!
When we finish our assembly
day, at least one of the Easter Buddies makes the trip to Children's to
make the delivery in advance of Easter. This is what the vehicle
looked like this year. A total of 11 large boxes. |
