Laika is our parti 'party girl'.  She won Best in Sweeps for her first show and Best of Breed over 40 borzoi at her third.  Laika finished her show championship with 4 majors and was three times breed over multiple specials.  She is also an enthusiastic and talented lure courser.  Laika is my happiest borzoi ever. 

In Spring of 2005, Laika won an award of merit at the BCOA national specialty.  Then she packed her bags for visit to Gemany.  Robert and Silvia Kalinowski enjoyed her winning ways in Europe as well - including a Best in Show.  Laika had a litter for Kalinow borzoi in November 2006.  Laika returned to America in November 2007.   Laika had a litter with Chabibi's Korona-Kazan, LCM, SGRC  and then  a litter with Ch. Mayberry's Hawker Hurricane, JC.

Laika is now retired, but she still supervises the housedogs and occasionally goes lure coursing.
